Introduction
The Admissions Consultant will report directly into the Brand Marketing and Sales Manager. They will be responsible for meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets. Assist the brand in identifying viable marketing and sales strategies and canvassing region to present company services to potential customers. Sales and Marketing diploma/degree required with sales experience. Experience in the educational industry will be an advantage.
Job description

Duties required:
1. Sales, lead follow up and conversion
• Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets
• Assisting management in identifying viable marketing and pricing strategies
• Canvassing region to present company services to potential customers
• Doing feeder school visits for lead generation and follow ups
• Contacting leads and setting up appointments to visit the campus
• Capture leads accurately on Stasy
• Update lead status and close leads
• Send info pack to lead, confirming tour date
• Book the assessment, benchmarking test, class visit or sleepover. Create and send an Outlook Calendar confirmation of the tour date – include parents, principals and housemasters where necessary *
• Do school and boarding facility tours*
• Inform parents of the medical protocols and non-refundable enrolment fee as well as fee policy.
• Request online application or assist the parent in creating the online application
• Complete application enrolment once the payment has been received. And handover the enrolled student to the relevant client administrator*
• Send weekly grade enrolments and boarding numbers to Head Office
• Deactivate leavers and add to listing for Head Office. Call parents if reasons for withdrawal have not been stated.
2. Events
• Assist with branding and overall awareness at Marketing (external) events
• Obtaining marketing quotations, processing invoices and booking Expo’s.
• Manage with and co-ordinating Open Days
3. Lead generation campaigns, marketing collateral and material
• Drive lead generating campaigns
• Creating and distributing advertising material and overseeing marketing functions when the need arises.
• Ensuring quality and correctness of material
• Updating of collateral
• Initiate the acquisition and utilization of marketing material.
• To oversee the implementation of a complete marketing programme and marketing initiatives.
• Update and maintenance of website and social media platforms
• Track and report on digital campaigns
4. Ad hoc admin
• Attend school staff meetings as and when requested by the Principal
• Assist brand manager with reporting and nsights
• Build relationships with local newspaper to see if content can get published
• Budget and managing of marketing spend
Skill Requirements
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong understanding of marketing principles (ATL, BTL, Digital)
• Strong sales drive
• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous.
• Proven sales experience.
• Sound consultative selling skills.
• Excellent networking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computer programmes, such as, and not limited to Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Exel and any other computer programmes that may be of value to marketing.
• Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• “People person” who is confident and has a positive personality.
• Strong organisational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritise.
• Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a cooperative and demanding environment.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement is Gr 12 with a proven sales record
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar type of position and environment
