Job description

Duties required:

  • Budget preparation, controlling of school expenditure and other aspects of financial management;
  • Preparation of monthly salary input for the Head Office Payroll Department;
  • Various Administrative tasks;
  • Writing up the Cash Book and General Ledger input and associated reconciliations;
  • Responsible for the daily banking;
  • Responsible for the Creditors and Debtors and associated re-cons;
  • Controlling of all purchases;
  • Liaison with the staff and parents;
  • Maintaining Fixed asset Registers;
  • Monthly management accounts: actuals vs budgets;
  • Management of financial staff.

  • Extremely numerate with excellent financial acumen;

  • Ability to deal empathetically with people at all levels;

  • Self-motivated and self-generator;
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines/deadline driven;
  • Good stress management.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications:     

  • Minimum requirements are a B Com/ Compt Degree or a 3 year Financial Diploma or similar. 
  • Must be fully computer literate – MS Office, Pastel 9.

Experience:         

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar type of position and environment.
